FL's not a bad place to start, alot of people use that still

Reason I would not recommend using that on it's own, but with another DAW package, and Pro Tools is pretty useless for Midi (well maybe not since v8, but it's still not the best) - and Midi is the basis of electronic music

personally i find Logic the best app for electronic music, but it's Mac only. You might want to take a look at Live or Cubase

i use Reason 4 and love it rewired to Pro Tools LE 6.4 Lmao i will be upgrading to Pro Tools LE 8 very soon.

Also Propellerheads are launching there new program soon "Record" you can use that together with Reason. Might wanna check it out.

But in the end of the day its all about your knowledge of structureing/arranging a track that will shine through. Programs are all the same just different GUI's, which wun you feel comftorble with & get your work done faster go for that one.

bro i still got a Pentium 4 3 gig cpu , 4 gig ddr-1 ram LMaO and 2 x 24 inch LG monitors dual screen setup, Windows XP Pro, yea im gonna get a new set up very soon, just waiting Digidesign to get the all clear with Windows 7.
But im still getting by with what i got atm, dont let the hype make judgements on what software to use, they all achieve the same thing , just which one is easier for you.
