I'm learning Logic at the moment but i'm really digging everything live has to offer. For both production and DJing. It's a very powerful tool. So i find myself using both all the time.

I'm using fruityloops at the moment, and since i dont have a high end computer that squencer is not that tough on my computer, so im happy with it.

I just got Ableton so im starting to learn that now. So weäll have to see if i change my mind :)

i have a copy of Live Lite 4 that came with my behringer sound card, might try it out see what it can do

i went to a demo night of Ableton Live, one of the developers was in melbourne for a gig, and showed the program off before he went off and played. Seems quite versatile

Live is hugely versatile and it's also heaps easy to use. It's not as feature packed as Logic for production though which is why i find that i use both. It's well worth checking out Stick.

i know it's an old post, but meh

I didn't include Reason as it's a stand alone app, not exactly a sequencer/DAW, and it'll rewire as an instrument into most DAWs these days

as for pro tools, i have LE, great for working with audio, but it's useless for MIDI stuff imo, so i use Logic for composition (plus LE's built-in plugin bundle sucks, even with the factory pack) - though I agree, I'd love a HD rig, but I'd probably end up using Logic as the TDM front-end
