Hi
Anyone know of a good MIDI controller (mixer style) to use
in Traktor?
Preferably not to expensive :)
I want to learn the basics without having to buy
to much expensive equipment and see
if im fit for it or not.

B-CONTROL DEEJAY BCD2000 seemed nice on the demonstration video. It incluedes its own mixing soft tho so I'm not sure if it'll work with traktor but all djing softs are pretty much the same. The price is about 160EUR.

Can't find the official demo video right now but there's plenty of clips on youtube.

it should work fine with traktor, if it doesn't have a profile for it, you can use traktor's midi learn feature

Yeah that looked really cool.
Seems pretty decent aswell.
The 3000 lookad a bit nicer though.
Also found this: Faderfox (http://www.faderfox.de/html/dj2_product_page.html)
but the behringer looks better.
Thx for you help.

faderfox will probably be better quality, but iirc, the behringer will be more intuitive

looking at the BCDx000 - the 3000 seems to be identical hardware-wise to the 2000, maybe better quality components? the only drawcard i can see that would make it worth more than the 2000 at this point is that it's bundled with a copy of traktor - but i'd like to see a couple of comparative reviews between the two before i make any recomendation

Yeah, i think the behringer would also fit me better than the faderfox.
I already have traktor (been using it for a year or so), so if
the quality is similar between the two are the same, then im going for the 2000.
From what i've seen on the internet, people seem to like it very much.

Ok, i have a question about traktor.
If i want to be able to use the prelistening function
will have a to buy a new soundcard from lets say M-audio, or
can i use one of those 10$ external usb soundcards?
Or is Mbox mini a good choice?

pre-listening? that uses the "monitor/cue" output doesn't it? you'll just need any soundcard with 2 stereo outputs - the behringer thing is a usb soundcard iirc, so you shouldn't need anything more
