Pretty good considering my percussion skills.
Just threw in that melody at the end to see how it fit with the drums.

Yeah im working on the full track like a fkn maniac now. U just wait till it's done. It's going to be my best yet :D I changed the lead sound, so now it doesnt souond all that chunky and messed up in case you wonder ^^
This definitely has potential gonza. The percussion adds lots more energy to the tune. Don't be afraid to add more percussion layers and pan them around a bit. Looking forward to hearing the final version

Yeah, well the thing is. I work on my laptop (my only computer) which has the following performance speccs:
1,4 ghz processor.
512 mb ram....
so whenever i play the song in fruity the comp laggs to piecies.
I'm pretty much restrcited to use four synths, tops. Or else
the same thing happens again... i cant use too many samples, lag.
Cant use too many mixer channels, lag.
Cant use too many patterns, lagg....
So thats why my tracks suck some times...
And i cant afford a new computer.
I'm really fkn pissed right now...
Dude that sux. I would love to hear what you could come up with if you had a decent computer.

upgrade your ram, that'll seriously help you
plus record synthlines, then disable the VSTi, so you can layer up the sounds, i used t odo this on an athlon 750 w/ 96mb ram

Smart disable can be your friend in Fl Studio! it's an option on Tools, Macros
But i know your problem, i was on the same way 2 years ago! P3 800Eb, 512Mo ram
Anyway i'm sure you can do better! trust me! there's always a solution!;)

Yeah key, I just tried the smart disable thing, it just seemed to make things worse :S Maybe it was already turned on or something. Welwell, i just sent the song to a local dj, and he said that if I can finish it berfore december 16 he would play it live :D Thats the first time a dj would play my song :D Cus i never sent them to anyone before ^^
that's why you use logic. It has a function called freeze track where it automically behind the scenes exports that track as a wav and plays that instead and in event using no plugins on that channels. When you want to change the settings again, unfreeze the track and it deletes the wav file. And etc...

other applications have similiar features, and the new VST3.0 standard (hopefully implemented soon) means that inactive VST/VSTi units won't consume any resources until they're actually used
